It's too much of a low-hanging fruit. If it turns in that direction it's going to be completely impossible for it to come back to being an irreverent but ultimately lighthearted comedy which doesn't take its premise seriously. I still remember Gal Cleaning and the ugly aftertaste it left in my mouth.
