Something being morally wrong is inherently dependent on the current conjecture of the society you are inserted in, as in morality varies over time.

So assuming incest had no inherent issues to it(like leading to less gene diversity and birth defects) it would not be easy to tell how it would be viewed, we could look into examples backwards in time to see societies where incest wasnt condemned like ancient egypt or societies that followed zoroastrian beliefs. In fact under zoroastrianism they considered incest a sacred thing but those were societies in vastly different situations from the ones we currently are in. But it could certainly not be taboo considering those different circumnstances.

Though you're right, I'm more afraid that something I'll say will end up offending someone most times because the majority around me is so sensitive that being told they did a bad makes them cry and wanna commit un-life; it really gives you the idea that no matter what you say, someone's gonna complain about it because twisting people's words and making someone look bad is way easier than trying to understand someone else's viewpoint.
Being honest is nice, but when whoever's withun earshot wants to put words in your mouth over it... 😑

@Kitsune_Hellscythe What I've found is that if someone truly wants to have a dialogue with you, they're willing to be cordial about the conversation even if they would see the topic as offensive. A sad fact of humanity is that most people only go along with what they hear, they don't grasp the concept of researching even slightly. They submit their minds to whatever the larger populace says.

After them are the people who think they're smart and love to bash on everyone and everything they can because, again, they think they're smart and their egos are just way out there.

You want to talk to the humble folks who actually care and are interested. A good way to discern these people is, if they ask you a question and you answer it, they'll talk about it for a bit. They'll let the answer ruminate through the conversation and try to take it into consideration for further questions they may have. These people are super rare but they are a definite joy to talk to because even if you disagree on core issues, you're still able to be civil with them. No word twisting or anything. Most people are, unfortunately type 1 or 2 of the listed above.

My advice would be, if these people are the people you're talking to then understand that they likely don't care what you have to say. They just wanna get a jolly off on thinking they stumped you.
