@Labba I mean will it actually be selling if its as terrible as you describe it to be ?

Though I guess there are terrible manga that lasted long but mostly because they started out great and it is still selling cause the invested audience is already being hostage thinking that maybe it will turn out good one day just like the old days.

@Labba entertainment is subjective, I personally enjoyed this series more than a lot other manga I've read (and I've read a lot). It doesn't have to be objectively good for it to be entertaining. Your failure to make it in the manga industry isn't this mangaka's fault.

You may have a problem and it isn't this manga. If you need help sorting out your feelings or whatever give me a PM.

@Xamdiz Would you disagree even when I say the art alone is objectively bad, without touching the story?

@Labba i actually love this series and got surprised how much depth it got, for what started as a bully being actually the bullied one the author actually made a little world around it and we got more characters that have their own personality im suprised that you are starting to hate this manga so much yet you are still reading it, at this point is your own problem and no one cares about your issues with this manga.

@Labba I've seen worse art get published so I can't say it's objectively bad. It may not up to your standards, sure.

@Xamdiz Well, I for sure can do better than this. Thankfully @youdontknowwho gave me the email address of the magazine this thing is published on, so I'll submit something very soon.

No offense @Labba, but you're really coming off as an entitled asshole here. If you don't like the story for whatever reason, fine. If you think you can do better, go ahead and try. Even so, there's no need to treat this like the worst thing to come about in the history of manga and act the publishing company is committing some sort of grave sin by publishing it, though if you're just going to do that anyway, you can be way less of a dick about it.

@Labba Yeah, this manga doesn't have particularly good art, it's true. And the concept for the story is dumb as hell. But people who pick it up seem to have a hard time putting it down.
I would say that instead of just throwing it down and saying it's crap and that you could do much better and how it doesn't deserve to be published, you should read through it again, analyze it thoroughly, and try to figure out why exactly it is that people enjoy it enough to continue buying it. I'm not saying this to defend this manga, because you're right, it's shlocky, amateurish, and certainly not "high art," but at the end of the day it's one of the series that I get more excited for than any other when I see a new chapter in my follows.
Also, when this manga decides to have an important moment, it'll usually ramp the art quality up decently too, like these pages:

People who hate this manga unironically have been filtered, everything about this manga is comedic and over the top, like come on the fucking student council of bullies, how the fuck can you think this is supposed to be serious lmao.

@FoxOnPie, you're right in saying I may be a bit too angry about this... and @Minkulus, you're right in saying there's still some value in reading it: but still, this doesn't make my rant any less justified.

You can call it comedy if you want, you can point out people still buy it... but how does this cancel the fact this manga is still terrible? And like I said, I don't even want to comment on the plot: I'm just talking about the art here. It's the most amateurish thing ever. It's not only ugly, it's full of plain mistakes too that you wouldn't see anywhere else. Remember all those scenes in the woods? Where the grass on the ground looks exactly the same everywhere, even within the same panel? That's to be expected, if you're using a Photoshop brush to draw it. Which is already laughable enough... but then things get even worse when there's that panel where you can see a close-up of the teeth on the ground after they've just been pulled out, and the author didn't even care about adjusting the size of the grass brush when drawing the blades of grass around the teeth, which resulted in them looking absolutely gigantic!

This is why I'm getting angry. There's nothing that can excuse this level of gross incompetence. But we all know why this guy here has a manga: because he's in Japan, and he can speak Japanese. When I published my two stories, I had to wait until another friend of mine did it first, then I had him ask the editor if there was a free spot for me in the next issue, to which he said yes... now we communicate with Google Translate and I pretty much never understand what he says; the first time, I had to wait until a copy of the magazine was delivered to my house to see with my own eyes what kind of stories were published there, since I couldn't even understand it from his own messages; now I draw my speech bubbles vertically and he fills them with the Japanese translation horizontally, and to this day I still don't know why; and since he's the one who translates my (English) texts into Japanese for publication, I'm not even sure if the version that ends up being printed is the same as the one I envisioned.

So yeah, I'm angry because if I had been born there, there's a chance I might have been in that magazine too. Instead the best I can do is write eight-page long one-shots once every six months, send them via email to a guy who can't even understand what I say, and in the end I don't even know if people liked them or not... simply because I'm not in Japan, where they're sold.

Bro ppl don't read manga like Shin-chan, Maruko, web OPM, 100 days croc, any Fukumoto manga for the art lol. And stuff you were pointing out about the art? It's maybe obvious to artists like you, but for most of us peasant readers, we either don't notice or don't care cuz the art is there to tell the story, and it does it job. Like srsly we spend like 2mins/chap, nobody is perusing the art. About this dude having advantage over you for being Japanese, sure because Japanese are biased against foreigners right, everybody knows that. But like other than that what this guy has over you is what, his skill in Japanese, which you can surmount by learning the language yourself, get yourself a friend/fan who knows Japanese, or hire a translator? Sounds like too much trouble? I mean, you are trying to publish in another country. Lastly, about getting feedback for your manga, have you tried those webcomic portals? You can write your manga in English, have someone translating it to Japanese, then post it on one of those portals and gauge people's interest from that?

@Labba You're entitled to your opinion, but you're not entitled to be a dick about it, so get off your high horse, already.
