I feel like Yunoki was told that Volume 2 would be all they were getting. So they're trying to speedrun the backstories and final arcs to hit a proper conclusion.

Interesting that there is a deeper reason for why Makoto is acting this way, I am cery interested in seeing it play out. Is Makoto also bisexual, was there a misunderstanding with that girl from the flashback?
And what is with that author guy? He was in the pre-serialisation, and caused more, rather annoying, misunderstandings, but he seems to have taken an entirely different role here
