How did “heroes” get created in Helck again? I remember that they also popped up in races outside of humanity, but I don’t remember them being tainted by an external object like the swords here. Was it just a case of being contacted by the Will of the World?

It was generally people coming into contact with the will of the world that made them heroes. Only specific people were actually contacted. Humans were the only race with heroes iirc due to them being a new species, while demi-humans were the remains of old humanity. Don't quote me on that tho
