I feel similarly. Oneshots are designed to tell a (mostly) complete story with intentional endings (perhaps open-ended if they're fishing for a serialization) and consequently authors tend not to introduce adulterating factors like side characters or plot threads. There's probably a lot of literature about the pros/cons of short-form storytelling that could explain it in better detail, but I'm no fuzzy :lul:

Reading older one shots/anthologies/limited series is a great way to freshen up a stale read list :thumbsup:

One shots are also a great way to play around with more abstract or experimental art, like the author does here with the MC's POV panels.
This is why I wish there were more one and two volume manga that weren't the result of an axe. I feel like they tend to have the same benefits of conciseness and cohesiveness, while still having more to actually chew on.

Story about a lesbian having an unrequited love with a straight girl are so dump.
You know from the beginning this is going to be a suffering for the lesbian.
How can you still love someone when she literally laughed at you when you confess and even more when she takes the risk to coming out.
