@Ice_Leaf yeah, I think you're def right! :( that has me a fair bit worried, I do also agree with what you said about Emiri being Asa's last link to her past life- it could really hurt her to lose that link, let's hope it turns out for the best. In a way, I kinda hope Asa throws herself into new friendships (with Makio too) & into her new school, so she finds many more positive things & connections in her life, but that she holds onto Emiri too. All the side characters briefly introduced in the entrance ceremony + Mori here, could be people Asa makes friends with- or they're just introduced for like realism's sake, we'll just have to see.

Well, her mom sure had a problem, she was trying to be seem as perfect by giving important lessons ( that she probably heard in some book or movie )that any exemplary parent would said but that wasn't how she really felt at all, she just wanted to say those words, what she mean is "You can be whatever you want as long as it's whiting the paths that I've been picking for you" or something like that. Another proof of her closed views would be the dad "Hey as long as your mom is alright, that's fine" so she dictated how the entire house and family was?

Of course she loved her daughter, she wasn't "bad" but if they were still alive it would've come to the day when they'll fight for real the more her choices differ.

@25mg12 all the initial post said was "didn't know she was gay" and you were the one who overreacted and start saying YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!! and assuming that that user was happy for yuri development (even when they're clearly friends) , how did you stretch it like that? why are you projecting so hard on that single vague comment? and you're saying to NOT discuss things that were said in the manga, what are we allowed and not allowed to discuss then? can we talk about Asa's picking a club? can we talk about coldplay or her friend hanging out with other girls that was the author casually showing something so we should shut up about it? maybe we can only talk about the dead parents only... Please let us all know what is right or wrong, geez, you seem to hate reading some people's interpretations, my suggestion is to block instead of pretending that everyone who disagrees with you is wrong, you don't have what it takes to discuss or to advice people on what to say or how to speak.

@serenata

Well, should not have expected for you to act any different that you do on dynasty scans (or, to specify something more local, like here in aniyome threads).

So, spelling it out, because group which stumbled here due to the title being sold as "shoujo ai" seemingly love to twist other people views and frame them as one or the other kind of socially undesirable thing: you're free to 'discuss' (though using this word here feels like an abuse) whatever you feel like, just like I am free to point out that you - as type of audience - in general seem to be 'one trick pony' when it comes to things you'd be willing to 'discuss' (or how to go on about it) and when you do, you're predictably annoying about them.

Oh, and that bit about 'projecting'? Cute. Look in the mirror sometimes, will you.

also felt really bad for asa here...she's got a lot of unresolved feelings about her parents that are mixed in with them dying, and she won't ever really get closure on them since they're gone. i hope makio can help her through it at least

Fuck you. You're the third yurifag in a row who'd wandered in and is trying to make the same straw man again. If you don't have the brain to process or address what has had been said, shut up and stop embarrassing yourself.

Done being polite.

Typical I see. Attempts at trying to frame me as some sort of an x-phobe are free to fly, but trying to refute those while being understandably angry cannot.

If Emiri is gay, it would make the entrance ceremony chapter make more sense, where she was apparently saying things like "that kid is cute". It just felt a little oddly worded, but fits better if she was talking about girls.

Maybe her mother felt bad about having pushed Makio away and was trying not to do that with Asa by following mommy blogs or whatever but her core personality had not changed. If she had lived, Asa would have come to resent her by adulthood, just like Makio

Parents like this need a reality check. 'You can choose but only if you don't make mistakes' is a shitty attitude to show to your kids.

My 15 y.o. self cry with her. What her parents said to her are carbon copy of what mine said. That kind of control really erase all your ambitions, makes you stuck in a career you don't even know you enjoy or not. Well it is what it is i guess, just remember to not being that kind of parents.
