Given he hasn't starved to death nor told anyone what has happened, I wonder if the MC is actually a real NPC and isn't aware of it.
Because at this stage he might actually be a "secret" boss.

Well, at least they will take the blame is anything occurs.

@Hounder Hmm... What does it actually mean to take the blame for the death of an NPC not relevant to their quests?

@Kaarme Well, we saw what happened when the "barbarian" atttacked earlier. So now we can find out if there is a responsibility for her survival since she is attached to the MC through from the quest he accepted from her, and/or the party they just joined for this quest, since they let her in the group and promised to protect her.In other words, as you just asked, can they (MC/party/both) be held responsible if something happens to her?

@Hounder:
Nope, the MC will take the blame.
The female players will attempt to protect Aili.
That means they will risk being "killed" to protect her because they as players can "revive" but NPCs probably not.

Now remember the objectives of MC's quest:
- No party member is allowed to die.

That is one of his objectives.
So if anything happens it will be him who fails his quest.

And if it gets worse and Aili is also "killed", he will fail the quest from Aili, too.

So the MC is the one who will pay the price.
