@AfroSparrow I am going with similar worlds concept. He seemed impressed with our society after all, but only while keeping in mind we didn't seem to know how to use his magic. Else, he adapted way too quickly. The moment he called for a taxi was already too much. He also seemed unfazed by the hospital. That said, I personally believe it was just a lack of story planning. I don't believe the author put much thought into any of this.

@kronix I was curious if you actually rated it that and checked(stalker style), but now I question if you rate anything. _{(also, I feel my MDList is way too small now)}

I would assume he assimilated the knowledge and experiences of the previous occupant of his body. Not uncommon in soul migration stories.

@MisterXiado But he claims he doesn't remember anything. and the way he has acted so far suggests he really doesn't. Minus knowledge of how the world works, there is no signs or evidence that he has any memories whatsoever (unless I am forgetting something).

If he did have memories, he should have known about the fiancee problem. He seemed utterly confused when she claimed they were still engaged, and quite annoyed when she explained the problem to him. If this is all an elaborate act to get people to believe he has no memories, the author went way too far. It would be worse story telling than claiming he read up on it in the hospital or just came from a similar world IMHO.

@firefish5000 one of the explanation is that he gains knowledge of modern world offscreen before he's discharged from the hospital since after chapter 6 we didn't see mc recovery phase. Maybe the author/editor think it would be boring to see he learned about the modern world.

Wow, everything really is cheaper in China, renting a shitty low-end apartment is around 700$ a month where I live(not counting utilities), and that's if you're lucky.

@firefish5000 the offscreen time learning + the memories of the last body owner = knowledge gained.....keep in mind not every memory is gonna spell itself out for him so some of it is gonna be there but he won't understand what it is until it happens since this isn't his timeline...if you know what I mean .
