@bushwhacker2k I think the general idea behind one is to have an honest conversation with each other about what both of you are expecting out of a relationship, maybe by putting your thoughts down on paper and then comparing. It's not meant to be anything legally binding like say a prenuptial agreement when getting married, just maybe figuring out stuff like "I'm interested in settling down for marriage and having kids" vs "I'm not really interested in marriage or having kids with anyone," out in the open. Probably a good idea to air out anything like "I'm a massive masochist, so I'd hope you'd be able to fulfill my needs," too.
