I am slightly disappointed in Rika-chan not having her guard up more (why did she even come to drink with such douchebags?). I mean, I know it was so protag-kun could step in to save her, but the near-rapey situation seemed unnecessary.

I think it was somewhat established from the talk about their childhood that she didn't really get to interact with many people besides him. This was her "I'm trying to get out there and be social" attempt that results in the discovery that some human beings are in fact dumpster fires and shouldn't be given her time after all, I guess.
