It's a sudden ending but a good one. Fitting I guess. It's just like doushiro himself. Just came and gone whenever he want and punch you in your gut and your feeling.

It feels like most of the manga authors don't know how to write a proper ending. Maybe it is a cultural difference thing.
This is one of the better ones, I have seen worse
