that,.... actually sounds quite reasonable, especially on how the manga is right now, I could see this kind of maneuver honestly..... not on the first run of the WN tho.... the characters didnt seem to have this much depth XD...

This is one of the reason I hate Shojo manga.

They become dumb in an unnatural way, refused to communicate properly for the sake of plot and coming up with convoluted plans when there's more straightforward way to settle things.

to be fair, this perk is not only for shoujo stories.

I do love Rae leaning into that toxic yuri angle with Claire's dependence issues.

It's touched on a bit more in LN extras and less so in the story itself so it's got me curious if they plan on continuing after the original ending or if they'll resolve that plot point during the revolution. Because in the LN extras, Rae confesses a part of her wanted to be that dependence pillar but she knew that would break Claire into someone she didn't love. Claire eventually finds her own independence picking up teaching along with raising their kids. So mayyyyyyyyyyyybe we can get more yes yes yes?

No, their kids are adopted they just happen to favor Claire's appearance. The kids lost their family to the Thassal eruption and were bounced around from relative to relative. Those relatives would make them bleed to sell a magic stone byproduct. So rae and claire were their first family in a long time.

Reading the LN, I always ended up shipping Rae with Manaria, Rod, and Dorothea (as you notice theyre all rulers, I thought Rae should rule too) but the manga with those expressions of Claire in the thought of Rae... I guess I support it haha
