Wait is this for real? Cause that's hilarious if true. As I was saying in the other copy, it made no sense to change the style of your main heroine on such a fundamental level, because people are already attached to her the way she is.

@Fushiginiku Imagine you set up a story on the premise that your main heroine is a tomboy, make the audience like her for her who she is, and two volumes in, you change her from a tomboy to some dainty little flower. How are people supposed to react, when you change something fundamental about her character? If Japanese readers took poorly to it, I can totally see why. If they're reading the story, they probably like the darker skinned girl (especially since it's not a common trait in Japanese media, and people into that sort of thing are more likely to be interested in the story)

This one also makes more sense considering that nobody even mentions her skin changing colours in the other version.
