Other three heroes were corrupted and transformed.

MC's transformation might have some grand reason rather than being a weird accident.

The big curse that the mc avoided at the start of the series could have been a newer form of the curse used on the previous heroes. If im not remembering wrong he only ended as a girl because that was the least harmfull of the effects and he didnt have time to get rid of all of them.

I thought the hero's party avoided the big curse when he sacrificed half his lifespan to get away?
