Yeah for some reason the "Catholic/Protestant" church is nearly ALWAYS the villain and by a comical amount. Like absolutely retarded levels of evil. I don't know if it's an Asian thing in general or just a trope to vilify religion but I can count on one hand the number of times the church has been neutral/good in most manga/manhwa/manhua

It is extremely unfortunate. Media has actively brainwashed a ton of people with things like the "muh christian popes molest little boys!" despite statistics showing that jewish rabbis and teachers do it at 100 times the rate, while for the church, it is statistically insignificant. And that's for Catholics. I'm an Orthodox Christian and I have not heard of any molestations or otherwise ever happening in my whole 25 years of life.

You even had some guy warrant it in your first reply, and talk about the "church being evil in real life" with some completely moronic conjecture. It's telling just how much this has been rooted deeply on the internet. Evil.

Well I don't know if you've done your history homework but the church has been pretty evil in real life. For example even in the modern age when priests are pedophiles the church would it work to shuffle around Which churches they work at so that they wouldn't be caught instead of trying to stop them.

Well it is true it's easiest for a villain to disguise themselves using the vestments of the divine though in reality it is exceedingly rare that you see a wholly corrupt church or minister.

The only important part of this chapter was the very beginning because we see that there is definitely something growing under their skin. After that little part everything else is completely unnecessary and disgusting.
