Well, I can say a bunch of Sword World RPG stuff is being worked on, and is currently in a playable state. You can access it via my post on Quick Start mentioned in the OP or clicking Here.
Check it regularly for updates, as they are being added peacemeal every few days or so (of this posting)
So if ye wana try out the first major JTRPG, there ye go.

so thus...
Embryo Machine

Set in a somewhat medieval world, recent discoveries from ancient ruins have uncovered high tech golems, called "Embryo Machines". around 3-5 meters tall, these machines are used by nobility, and mercenaries, to fight for honor, glory, or profit.
One notable thing is a tech known as the "Placenta Chip", that is surgically implanted in the necks of pilots to link up with these mechs, along with that, the chips themselves have a unique function with specifically Female pilots, being able to supercharge an Embryo Machine by triggering the pilot's Maternal Instincts.

The game comes in two states, one is a Board Game, that has been localized by Lion Wing Publishing, thus, you can buy it Here. (Along with additional acrylic standees, STLs for 3D printing, and soundtrack.)
The other state, the JTRPG, has recently been translated by a certain self-proclaimed Rice Farmer, and you can freely download the fan translation Here.

Does Natural Doctrine from Kadokawa count?

It feels like a Japanese RPG.

You actually need to memorize every single step to actually win. In fact without a walkthrough you will die.

This is where GAMEFAQS walkthroughs ACTUALLY mattered or WATCHING YOUTUBE.

The only one I'm vaguely familiar with - and this will date me - is Big Eyes Small Mouth, specifically the d20 version from '03 or so. The mid-'00's group I was in tried it at one point, in between one of our semi-annual shifts between D&D 3.5 and d20 Modern. I don't remember it as being particularly noteworthy. Like all TTRPGs, much of the experience depends on the GM/DM.
OH! DRAGON QUEST.

Togashi RAN AWAY from Hunter x Hunter because of this game. Until he was beaten into shape by his wife, the author, creator, and also one of the directors of the Sailor Moon manga and anime.

EVERYONE LOOKS LIKE Piccolo!

Wrong medium, mate.

I'm talking about the good ol'e Paper and Pencil tabletop roleplaying games, NOT a Video Game.
