Wonderful to see that the (IIRC) still-unnamed lizard girl is moving up in the world (and is hopelessly down bad for her new boss). Her design is, I think, referencing Cell from Dragon Ball (I don't know how reptilian he is), so her tail may or may not be quite a lot more dangerous than it appears.

Looking at where this all hits in the novel, there's a surprising amount of deviation. The lizard girl doesn't seem to exist (I think the artist just really likes drawing her, which is fair), but there's also no tense but ultimately productive confrontation between Ackerman and Claude, either (I actually quite liked that scene).

I really like the moving parts of the political landscape that this adaptation adds to this event. It makes the world feel much more alive than what I got from the brief section I read from the novel (chapters 157-158 or so), unless this story is just rearranging events and not adding new ones.
