Everything makes a lot more sense now. I do wonder how the other team got some of their translations though. Because not only did they not fit some of the situations, but they just don't even relate to what this one says in some places. For example the part where the Dad talks about the Hole in the Ceiling.

While I appreciate the other groups attempt, I don't think I would have continued reading, even if they did proofread later chapters, as I don't think it would have helped much.

I agree, this translation makes it a lot more comprehensible.
Quite a few (lot) of sentences didn't make sense before, like the "uncle hero", or with the "you mean you wote it based on your father's actual experience" I thought that was implying the grandfather.

We've learned the secret to revive almost dropped translations (or at least unannounced waiting for tank scans maybe, but with no Notes page to explain the situation, who knows...). It IS a better translation, but the other team explicitly mentioned not using proofreading and proofreaders can help fix a lot of weird sentence structures and meanings based on context from previous experience in the area, but who knows now if it woulda helped.

reminder that page 14's "Hero Oji-san" is a parody of this series: https://mangadex.org/title/31488/isekai-ojisan you can tell by the cover page having the same styling as the first one (female fantasy character on the right and a bunch of panels as a backdrop with a solid colour at the top). i liked that

EDIT: upon checking, it even has the same pose and volume number, but it was the panels as backdrop that made me immediately notice.
