I agree, but instead of keeping it vague, the WN already has an answer to what exactly led to her mood changing. The manga doesn't, and so we got a few posts saying something like "what's happening and why is she suddenly okay with all this???".
I mean, story645 basically is saying Yuu was always right all the time when he said "Hikari will be fine" to Haru and Yuki, and Hikari would go to his house sooner than later.
And even if I´m agree with her, IMO this change makes Yuu look worse, and this is my point, Yom covers much less the real actions of Yuu and how he really makes things along the series, even in chapter 28, the scene when Yuu pressures Yami saying "don´t lie me" is much more serious in the novel than in the manga chapter.
So, again, Yom depicts a more passive Yuu than Novel Yuu, even if Novel Yuu is already very passive and submissive as character, letting him worse before the readers´ eyes.
But yes, this problem with Yom exists over all in Hikari chapters, normally Yami chapters are better adapted -she is definitely the Yom´s favorite girl- and have more pages. This curiously affected Yami herself in part 1, because her family context was already presented in chapter 15 in the fireworks party with Hikari and the other girls (the only after reveal made in her own Arc is her adulterer step-dad also tried to rape her) but the manga ommited that scene.
This is the reason why so many readers thought Maruto introduced suddenly this tragic background for Yami to make look better in the series after her betrayal to Hikari in chapter 21. WN presents better to Aya as "the best friend of Hikari" from her debut in chapter 5 and foreshadows much better her role as the ex-girlfriend of Yuu and love rival of Hikari.
Saving the distances, is like the case of Doga Kobo depicting Yuu Izumi in the Shikimori´s anime launched in 2022 as even more passive, useless and clumsy than his manga counterpart.
