Because you think she isn't being genuine, or because her whole existence is just noxious to you?Yami's words read like poison to me -snip-
Its already been confirmed next chapter we are back to the present timeline btwYami's words read like poison to me & reading Hikari's words on Yami being an "irreplaceable friend" makes the feeling even worse. I hope the next main chapter we return to the present but what do I know if Maruto sensei wants to drag on the flashback arc for the remainder of the year (please don't). Thanks for the translations.
Both. And we know she isn’t being genuine (knowingly or not) because of chapter 21Because you think she isn't being genuine, or because her whole existence is just noxious to you?
Between this and your comment in the last one where you said your ideal ending involved Ayami finding a different Mr. Right that she could help through his own difficulties, I kind of want to live in your world. It's really adorably optimistic, in a good way.nogoodsumbeach said:Yeah i think whatever happens next, surely its a safe bet to say hikari/yami will end up still being best friend?
So like, I kinda wanna know from a true blue Yami hater before we get back to the present,Both. And we know she isn’t being genuine (knowingly or not) because of chapter 21
Should be noted these past couple of extra chapters that just been uploaded here has been around for quite some time now i think. I remember someone summarising this extra ch and the 13.5 in past chapters comment section.I'm guessing all the flashbacks are over now, and now we're jumping into the fire.
It would really depend on how it’s done tbh. My biggest issue with her presently outside of meta reasons (her flashback absolutely KILLED the pacing and tone IMO) is that she’s got an arc that we know ends in betrayal of possibly the sweetest girl ever who genuinely cares for her and thinks of her as her most important friend. If there’s no actual betrayal then she can actually have a fully realized arc with growth. I’d still be frustrated at her about some things but it would at least put me in a mindset where I could see a future where I like her.So like, I kinda wanna know from a true blue Yami hater before we get back to the present,
What would your reaction be if next chapter it's revealed that it's Yuu that walks into that classroom and finds Yami hiding from him, he confesses to her, she says he should be with Hikari, he says he doesn't love Hikari, he kisses her, then she pushes him away, slaps him, screams at him, then gives up and kisses him back?
Does recontextualizing that moment make her any less noxious, or does that intro followed by her whole backstory just make her really difficult to redeem without a whole separate arc? Really wondering if there's any way for the author to pull out of the dive for like, maybe more than half of all readers.
That kiss basically kill any hope of you ever liking her huh? Understandable tbf.she’s got an arc that we know ends in betrayal of possibly the sweetest girl ever who genuinely cares for her and thinks of her as her most important friend.
