Also, @vipguy64, I noticed that chapters 13.5 and 21.5 are listed under Volume 1, but since the official publication doesn’t include them, could you move them out?
I'll keep 21.5 in volume 1 because once chapters get added to volume 2 and 3, people reading would be automatically moved to the next no volume chapter after finishing volume 3. It'd feel weird for them to go to chapter 21.5. There's plenty of extras on the site already that are in a volume, but aren't actually like Twitter extras for serialized manga. If anyone translates the extras for volume 1 they can mark it as chapter 21.6 or have the current 21.5 changed to 21.6 with a report.

13.5 it was decided to be put into volume 2.5 since it was released as a pamphlet with volume 2 and because it spoils the plot. Another mod didn't know about this and just moved it to volume 1 again.

Honestly I think she probably cares more about Yuu being an "idealized" version
How? Idealized in what way? I mean, even in her own inner monologue in chapter 40 she goes
The usual wimpy Yuu expression.
There hasn't been a single instance of Yami idealizing Yuu.
We argued about this with story645 already, but for me it's quite clear that they just had a good chemistry and enjoyed talking to each other. And this new novel chapter confirms this, because as Yuu points out, Yami was always smiling with him.

41.5? So then that'd actually seemingly take place after the current one which definitely has me interested

Comiket announcement even has the name of the extra chapter, which is "A week after that day", so yeah, it takes place after 41.

The novel volume appears to have undergone the most changes. There are fewer chapters than in the web novel version, so I suppose Maruto merged some of them. Here’s the table of contents for the official Volume 1 of the novel:

第七章 心に染み入るセカンドデート
第八章 夏の終わりのロースター(無煙)
第九章 ちょっとだけ、大きな大きな変化
第十章 泣き顔の約束
第十一 章 はじまりの学園祭

The novel definitely got much more meat. Amazon page says 238 pages, while the doujinshi volume 1 had 200, which includes manga, novel and extra illustrations. LN version probably has illustrations too, but it's still mostly just text.
I don't expect any translations, but if someone ever picked it up, would be interesting to check out.

There hasn't been a single instance of Yami idealizing Yuu.
Yami's crash out is a laundry list of things she had thought Yuu was the type of person to do b/c in her head that's what a great boyfriend who loves someone does. She thinks Yuu doesn't love her b/c he didn't meet her expectations of what that looks like; b/c he didn't meet those expectations she then instead tries to slot him into the trash her mom dates - only w/ her to get laid. Like yeah Aya acknowledges his wimpy expression but her crash out is screaming that she expected him to get over it for her. On the flip Hikari internally is frustrated by his cowardice but in the confession commiserates by relating to her own cowardice.

Where like getting to know Yuu, it's pretty clear that that's absolutely not how he operates - he doesn't do grand risk taking gestures and absolutely will not push someone to talk if they don't want to and also as Hikari says doesn't do FWB.

Yeah, like some of the fight w/ Hikari in the last chapter is Hikari being like "Yuu isn't like that" b/c he's actually not (as the latest novella chapter makes clear) - which right, Hikari's defending him in this bonkers situation where she has all the reasons to be done w/ all of it.
Yeah imo Hikari isn't suddenly disillusioned with Yuu or anything-
at most she seems to think he's an idiot for thinking so little of himself and that he's not good enough for her but she doesn't actually think less of him for it

She's mainly just hurt he'd lie to her the way he did

Yes & it's also the exact same cope folks on here have been saying & I say it's cope b/c it's such a hypothetical b/c, as these novella chapters also indicate, Yuu never really tried anything to get Hikari to see him in a different light (that Hikari knows about).
Yeah seems like he never properly tried from what we've seen

I checked on Amazon, and it lets you preview the table of contents. Here it is:

Apparently, the extra content includes new illustrations and a bonus chapter or side story, which seems to be a novel chapter rather than a manga chapter:

Edit: I think “Newly Drawn – Dangerous Close Call” is actually an extra manga chapter.

Thanks!!! Yeah I'm 90% sure the extra chapter is a manga one because Yom made a tweet about preparing a new chapter for the release

Ooooooh yep that's a tad exciting especially given that it's a week after

Yeah that makes sense since I think going from web novels to light novels tends to rework stuff alot

I'd honestly be more interested in seeing than the manga Volume tbh there would probably be more to see

Same I'd be very interested in reading it but yeah not exactly expecting translations lmao

Wonder if there's anything that'd REALLY be worth seeing in it

Yo, I didn't sign up for this abandonment play. It's like being shown the picture right before 2 trains collide and not being shown the outcome. (In all seriousness, translation teams you are awesome. It's just this wait is unbearable)

Exactly even if she recognizes what he's like that she still expects him to be/act differently so that he can be kind of boyfriend she wants

On the flip Hikari internally is frustrated by his cowardice but in the confession commiserates by relating to her own cowardice.
Yeah she gets internally frustrated by his cowardice but is also very understanding about it and likes him anyways

Where like getting to know Yuu, it's pretty clear that that's absolutely not how he operates - he doesn't do grand risk taking gestures and absolutely will not push someone to talk if they don't want to and also as Hikari says doesn't do FWB.
Yep it's not how he operates at all lol Yuu is shy and self concussion as HELL it's why even when Hikari was making it clear she liked him he was too anxious to confess for awhile because he didn't feel sure enough

No. She secretly hoped for it, but did not expect it. Because she says it in her monologue, that it's crazy to expect anything from him, since he is a victim in that situation.
That kind of thing—there’s no way you could’ve done it. It’s not realistic.

In fact, if you had done all that, it’d be stalker behavior. Anyone would be creeped out.
So it's clear she doesn't think he was that type of person.

b/c he didn't meet those expectations she then instead tries to slot him into the trash her mom dates
Where do you even get this from? This is so far removed from what's in the novel and the manga that I just can't imagine why you would think that.

I was mostly trying to point out that they don't talk about anything important, which is more or less the same complaint Aya makes.
She didn't make that kind of complaint, but I'm not even addressing the period when they were dating, I'm talking about why they got together.
