Maruto said on Twitter that this chapter is the end of part two and also told to "look forward to seeing which heroine will appear in which timeline next time." So it's likely that Yami's part is over but the next part might still happen before the kiss, just from a different POV.

Honestly, it seems like a pretty realistic conclusion for a teenager to come to: burn all bridges and make it their whole purpose to be the emotional stability of the family

He kinda did? The Kouhai Yuu hung out w/ for a day (went on a date w/?) and then turned down saying he was in love with someone else. If Maruto wanted to troll, he could run wild w/ that episode.

Nah, just from Yuu's reaction in that chapter it's pretty clear he was never interested.
I don't expect there to be any more love interests. But I can imagine the next POV actually being that kouhai, just to show the depressed side of Yuu, though I really doubt it.

Man, manga's name doesn't instill much hope in me, but i wish author won't make Hikari just keel over crying after that kissing scene.
Chances do look bleak for her, with Ayami still having feelings for Yuu (despite trying to keep her distance from him), and Yuu, most likely, too still being in love with her (i bet it wasn't Ayami who dragged him out of the cafe, and he himself chased after her in chapter 20), but i'd hate for Hikari to remain as shallow as a typical NTR protag.

ETA: Remember, her plan b/f she hooked up w/ Yuu was apparently paid dating. And she'd functionally dropped out of (an apparently very good) school. Dating Yuu is one of the better decisions she's made (and as I've said, I don't think it was all that great either).
