She cut him loose for no reason, so she did at least one thing wrong. Both these girls are ridiculous.

Any man would have tried to move forward after being stuck as a non love interest to the girl youve been pining for. Hikari has tried to set him up with other girls. He develops actual feelings for Yami and that's why when she ghosts him it's hard for her. They shared their difficult circumstances and moved forward with each other. So Yuu's done nothing wrong except lie about the Yami kiss to avoid a hurtful conversation.

Many villify yuu because let's be honest we actually know nothing of him we don't know his train of thought we don't see his perspective all this time we just see him from other protagonist pov and i think he's the classic dense mc just reality was added in this story instead of the usual delusional harem love triangle mc

I do agree it likely started to become meaningful to him by the end, but wasn't part of the reason Yami decided to ghost him that she felt like he wasn't going to move on from Hikari? maybe he would've eventually if she hadn't ghosted him as you are saying, however that's also an issue.

I dont think yuu lingering feeling for hikari has any part whatsoever in yami decision to ghost/broke up with him. Like the issue around her mother, her believing that yuu is too good for her is more of a reason why iirc.

If that relationship was meaningful to him then he should make sure that he has moved on before trying to have a serious relationship with Hikari

Because we didnt know what happen yet during that kiss/slap, we cant say for certain that yuu had or hadnt moved on from yami tho.

Plus, less problematic yet still a reason I don't I like him, he noticed there was something off about Hikari after meeting up with her and still tried to pull a confession, he should've been considerate of Hikari and kept that to himself

Yes, timing of confession may not be ideal but in yuu pov the only reason hikari was a bit down was only because they didnt go around the festival together tho so he prob think its not something that could get in the way of the confession

this series makes me have schrodinger's hate, where I hate all the characters and none of them at the same time because we don't have enough information on what is happening, and we get a major reveal like every 2 chapters
