That first page really comes across more as an excuse to not have to come up with two different character designs. The "dream" is shattered by the fact that Sakura is not depicted as a runaway princess in her offline life.

Heck, you could even do the thing where you keep the base appearance the same and just change her outfit and hair. That's what "I Fell in Love, So I Tried Livestreaming" did for its vtuber character, and it's what a lot of media does for characters playing MMORPGs.
