As well she should. As anyone rightly should.
I'm kind of surprised that she didn't burn up the flowers, since they were all around the cats. But, now I just remembered from Chapter 1 that her fire magic only burns up what she wants.
The reason why her acceleration stopped when she hit the poor puppy or got near the cats, is because you cannot use fast movement when an enemy is nearby.
