Agreed. Actually, most of us do this quite often. Constantly. It's not a staged process after all, but an ever evolving cycle. We experience, evaluate, learn, and then base decisions on the lessons we gathered. Should we be wrong, most of the time we re-evaluate. Some times though, we stubbornly stick to our last decision with pride.
Emotions are essential for the lessons learned, as they strengthen the memory. Over time the emotions fade, but the memory and lessons should stay intact for longer (and, eventually, only the lesson).

The reason stated for why she can't return to her own world with her mana and Noel was plain retarded. People are researching life extension especially hard in Japan, where they even have an official government program for it. And we really don't know how a "human mind" will fare for an extended life span in a healthy body, other than it will still vary by individual. Very likely much better, when one doesn't have to worry about lack of time or their sudden demise. Frees us to focus on long term. Individual with expanded life span vs society with same are very different scenarios as well.

I don't understand why humans health and mana are limited to 999 as humans are limitless. We reach, build, learn and gain. If you work to move forward you will always have gains no matter what, there is no plateau in life and there has to be a relation between humans and the demon race just like humans to animals and demons to demon animals. The demon races don't seem to be limited at all in terms of hp and mana, but life span is affected. Mana should be able to be used to extend ones life in a positive way obviously with some negative effects that accumulate over time just like regular aging.

Honestly if it were me, so long as I am happy, healthy, have people I care about I can live on and on. I love to discover, learn, hear stories, tell stories and the like. I could do that forever so long as there are those I can get along with. I would definitely do a familiar or marry the demon king as they seem to innately love the fated ones no matter what and it kinda seems like the fated has feelings for the demon king or they are quickly developed.

It is unfortunate that there are so many flaws in the writers manga, but that is a lot to think about when creating your own world with its own rules. Though I do think the author got it right with the balance of knowledge and power. You can't have people advancing too quick as that generally leads to bad things. They need to move moderately in all directions and fields.

This kinda felt like and intro to the story up until now, but I don't know how much more the author can put into the story at this point besides saving liliam

Pretty sure she has the option to return with memories and mana at the end. It would be nice as it could benefit our medicine. Who knows she may even be able to unlock magic on earth for other people. If we have a natural disposition to high mana then everyone would live 300 years which is bad considering how everyone except whites and the Japanese breed way to much like africans and muslims. Luckily magic is forbidden in islam, but you know they'd bs it into "mohammed knew about magic first and how to use it, but he banned it because it would lead to many deaths"

Found it. Turns out my memory was off; it's actually an SCP entry, not a short in its own right. SCP is basically a site where people write research articles on fictional paranormal objects or entities. The specific bit that concerns the part I remembered is Experiment-1230-05 and the addendum of Report-1230-14.

Thank God Reene addressed this. I've always thought that was the reason for her urgency to return to Earth. From the previous chapter, when it was stated that she'd just return like nothing happened, I thought, "Oh okay, then it's all good I guess."
So I'm really glad the author didn't just brush that under a rug.

Interesting that the main conflict has been resolved. I wonder if this will continue with other conflicts or if this story is about to end?

It's so funky to me how it's just accepted that an increased lifespan is bad, when that's just not true. It's peripheral issues that may arise with an increased lifespan that would be the problem- and as long as it isn't like "you cannot die" you can suicide if things are that bad.

First he says she'll easily live for 300 years or more. Then he says it'll be hard for her to do so. Then he says she'll easily live for 5000. Then he says she'll probably only live for 300 again.
This writer... It’s like he's constantly changing his mind on how powerful he wants to allow Reene to be.
She doesn't have any skills in the real world, but she easily gets herself a job before graduating. Just another example of the above.

@Pachka84 the author ment her body can easily live for that long but her mind that if normal earthling can't really handle 300 years of experience. The 5k figure is if she decide to be with the demons lord otherwise it will be around 300 with her mana cap if she decide to stay in that world...
do you get it now? N she will only live barely 100 years old if she decided to went back if u still trying to figure it out....
