Priest: Fine. Stand still, Child of Gaia-sama. It's your first time, so I'll be gentle. Now relax as I reach DEEP inside you and grab hold of your essence!

Liliam: Uhm... I need an adult?

Priest: YOU ARE AN ADUUUULT!!

We meet again.
I believe the kingdom as it is understands most that of they were to do anything to chain her, even with words, the demon kingdom would be in so deep into their buttholes they'd cough up furballs. So right now they are giving her the highest title they can give her without being liable to said chain.
Yes, there are some who are dubious enough to not give a shit- we've already seen that. But at the same time, she's already been through it and won't likely fall for it again. And even if she does happen to get caught up in another scheme, she knows not to swear any oaths. But, external happenstance may cause this reasoning to go awry.
I doubt even that one kingdom with the Prick for a king will try anything again for fear of what will be done to them. Honestly, the only people dumb enough to try anything is the church, but only because they don't know of her higher authority and because it's the church. Them bitches always be trippin'.

TL:DR I dont think the kingdom is dumb enough to try and hold her, because demons.

I have to agree with @Vasqueztion. While the noble title doesn't offer Reene any real benefits, accepting doesn't hinder her in any way. As I understand it, Reene just has to say 'Noche' & Mr. Let Me Show You My 'End the World' Parlor Trick - Purple Soul will be instantly at her side, ready to shoot first & take names afterwards. Reading the intent behind Leon-sama's words, down the road, Phantesma wants the Demon Lord to understand that, unlike all the other shitty kingdoms, it treated his soulmate Reene nicely from the get-go.

Now, that smarmy priest is going to be a major pain for Reene to deal with if she decides to try & help legal shota Liliam. Phantesma can't help her too much, & calling in Noche would likely drive Liliam away, if not actually break him.

I checked back to the chapter they first appeared and while piggy is also 200 years old, Liliam is 11 years older than him, so either they didn't brainwash him until piggy is there, or the church specifically collect people with brainwashing ability and before piggy there is another brainwasher.

Poor overly legal granpa shota didn't have long to live anymore either, so I hope Reene will get him out soon before he kicked it

its not really worth the time correcting
It definitely is. As somebody whose English is not perfect I always find myself pausing for a moment when I come across the your-you're typo and have to reread it in a different way.

I understand why the kingdom did this: I would have done this myself had I been the king. It was the best thing they could come up with to tie Reene to the kingdom. They are obviously afraid she would soon enough leave for the demon realm otherwise, seeing how Noche is there. And no, I don't expect them to try to force her to do anything in a forceful manner, as that would irk Noche and it would also alienate Reene herself. That's why I gave the kind of example I did in the previous post. A very soft way of using Reene's own sense of loyalty and responsibility against her. Based on everything we have seen in this series, it's an exquisitely effective method against her (she's such a pushover).

We don't know all that happened during the ennobling ceremony, but there were a couple of very clear and very revealing hints: The Chief of Protocol insisted they must follow the usual protocols precisely, which tells us the ceremony wasn't adjusted for Reene specifically in any way, and secondly we saw her offer her sword to the king, which means she offered her services to the king. The fact it was the same ceremony as for any other noble historically means she had to become a vassal and swear an oath. Maybe someone else wouldn't think much of it, but I suspect Reene takes it seriously.

@Ovdose, I suppose if you're in the habit of pronouncing you are instead of your in your head, it could get annoying.
(placed in spoiler to avoid polluting the comment thread)
But if we are going to nitpick them on a missing apostrophe, I would like to form a mob and attack a few of my middle and HS english teachers.
Also, lets kill whoever allowed this crap to begin with. Your and you're. There, they're, and their. Live(don't die) and live(recording).

Seriously though, school must have been hell for you. I swear they didn't even try to do a spellcheck on those textbooks, much less check its grammar.
Math was even worse. Not only was the grammar and spelling wrong, but even the easily computable answers were often incorrect. And none of the math teachers I met knew proper grammar for their own subject. "And you times it by.... plus it by... minus it by...". Every day by both the teachers and students. They only memorized the shortest word for the operation and then used it in every sentence, no matter how stupid it sounds. What more, most of the math teacher didn't actually know math. They relied on a calculator for any operation with more than 3 digits. And the ones who told me it was impossible to do simple math (like calculating roots) without a calculator can burn in hell.

... I might have slight anger issues...

Fortunately my country has good enough standards for schoolbooks and teachers so that kind of stuff isn't tolerated here. Thanks for typing that out though, now I understand a bit better why so many people on the internet use English the way they do.

I am in America btw, TN to be specific. Between slight vernacular here, and the... Special dialect of the hooded ones, grammar is hell. I am satisfied with any scanlator that does a better job at conveying the meaning of a translated work than native speakers do when they are trying to convey their own thoughts in their own language.(seriously, these are great translations compared to the majority of works I follow. Currently 107 series, getting about 3 chapters per day.)

well as a relatively new PR in LH i promise we are working to increase quality of PRing and what not going forward. I cant promise all previous mistakes will be fixed (we are pretty backed up, but i personally want them fixed) but we will make efforts to keep them from happening again

@firefish5000 as far as that goes I've always pronounced "you're" like were, but with the u sound from "you." So "your and you're" don't sound the same in my head, but it also doesn't bother me when I'm reading and they get switched, because I read enough web-novels to be desensitized to minor spelling or grammar errors. Still, thanks for the rant, it's nice to see some thought out ones from time to time.

@CountryMage Wow, I had no idea there were two accepted pronunciations for you're and your (both accepted for either, but the preference order differs, meaning they expect most to pronounce them differently). And google reinforces that, leading me to believe that I am the odd one out for pronouncing them the same.....
That said, yer (I am assuming that is what you meant, probably shouldn't break down into IPA here. I can't read that anyways) doesn't seem to be an accepted pronunciation, though I hear it all the time (for both your and you're), and it is popular to use in written works to depict certain dialects.
The two accepted variants don't sound much different, its the elongation of the vowels, I think...
