How did you come to that conclusion?? When he asked "what did you do to me?", I'm pretty sure he was referring to her breaking Fatso's control over him, not that she's now controlling him herself (and if she was, he wouldn't be able to realize it).
@Claresilver47 And until that teardrop we had no real reason to believe he wanted to be saved. He may have liked his gilded cage. Comparing it to domestic violence or chattel slavery is disingenuous. He may have been a pauper before the church found him. I think the story would have benefited if we saw at least one more encounter with Liliam prior to this where we could see how sheltered and isolated he was by the church rather than the exposition dumps. For example if meeting Renee convinced him to go outside or meet her by himself in secret and he was overjoyed by the experience. This could lead to him being even further constrained giving some urgency to saving him.
Could somebody remind me why everyone's saying that Liliam has limited amount of time left? I mean, they have bloody Demon King on their side - should be easy to heal/extend life spans?
@Zael Our Mains life got extended because she is in a bond with the Demon King, Liam here is not. Unless there is a method aside from that that they haven't mentioned Liam is simply dying from actual honest to good "old age"
