So this man Lilliam is literally on death's door and is surrounded by and currently is a hugely influential person. He's also retiring from being a mind slave for 12000 years.

Yet nobody can get this guy a vacation? Despite having the resources to give the Black Healer near constant free security, and a baron title, etc? And no one's going to help him plan a vacation even though he's basically mentally disabled because of his arrested development and has no life skills?

And they're putting him to work... even though logically he should have about a bajillion dollars worth of back paychecks due to him from the church. That's on top of the fact that he should be able to get a settlement for the brainwashing. Don't they have a criminal justice system in this country? Is that just gonna never be addressed?

And he's not even going to be doing meaningful work-- just sitting around and tending on a bunch of royals who still have their entire lives ahead of them. The top healers almost exclusively work for the wealthy. Is this the stratification and lack of equal access to health care that Gaia wants? If he healed common people, he'd probably get to see the entire country in no time and live some of the experiences he missed out on, much more varied than staying in a sheltered environment with just one family. SMH at the structure of this situation. Freedom is only in your mind in this world and Gaia is trash. He could have sent some one to rescue Lilliam sooner, or he could have just given Lil the anti-brainwashing power in the first place.

I think it just something she decides, to be independent or something, maybe if they ask the king will provide just like how he did with the black healer
and he still needs to rest too, I don't think he already worked, he just designated to work in the palace, maybe it'll get addressed in future chapter

@gum_rummy I think this is more of them letting him be reintroduced in a safe environment with a big backer for his safety. I wouldn't want someone naive and just escaping mind slavery to be on their own immediately with a ton of money, thats just asking for a repeat

@MistahMoose What I got caught up on is that she's saying he has to save up from his job before he can visit the ocean. But I would think he should already have the resources/connections to visit the sea, or do just about anything he wants, even if they have to send him with a babysitter and keep his cash in escrow.

@primrosea Yeah, maybe it will be addressed. From the previous chapters it seemed like he was healing royals and doing general publicity work for the church, so I feel like they would owe him off of that. And after everything the cliche evil priest did, and considering Lilliam's role in the church, and that his freedom was a direct edict from their god, I think it makes sense for him to at least have some kind of stipend (at the minimum).

I think they should let him rest somewhere near the ocean. ? Gaia and the rest made it sound like he should basically be in hospice care.

Between the doggos and the bishonen this has morphed from a pretty standard fantasy to a pretty standard shoujo, but honestly what else is there to do? It's going to be pretty difficult to create tension at this point since Renee is now directly affiliated with both the most powerful and second most powerful entities in this particular universe. Sure they can continue kidnapping members of her harem and cutting off their arms, but the only plot left is how long it can it be dragged out until they marry.

@Pachka84 She said their stats were like when she first got here, not her now. Her stats only got where they are now after the demon king blessing. I'm pretty sure her stats were like 600-700 range or something.
