lol i know they're elementary schoolers but they sure are shameless in asking for gifts/money lol, you'd think their parents would give them allowances so actual friends can enjoy shopping together as opposed to just asking the 'rich kid' (was she really rich or did she buy friendship before, i don't really feel like re-reading this from the beginning)

I wouldn't be surprised if she isn't in the 'garden/secret base' anymore but at the same time i doubt the cops wouldn't do anything if she wasn't taken away before (or if her dad was somehow rich/able to pay the right ppl off)

Mary is already running out of fucks to give, and she hasn't even finished grade school. Well, the sooner the better. It's gonna be easier to digest adult life when she gets there.
I mean, at this point they're acting more like they're in their late 30's (and on a soap opera), what with how they're processing and confronting / avoiding trauma
Im pretty sure riko told the teachers that momo was being abused but then the dad pulled momo out of school.

Sure but unless they ran away/moved, i'd assume the school would have their address/personal info on file tho other than like 'evidence' in her body, i don't think she had too many physical bruises and other than anything 'extreme' i don't think the cops can do anything if they claim it's 'discipline' with like slaps and such but then again considering she's gone out to her 'secret base' maybe the dad will spin it to where "she doesn't even go to school she hangs out outside with her friends" as a way for her to have 'freedom' so he's not technically confining her or so
Wouldn't put it past plenty of ppl to look the other way/feign ignorance about a situation/bystander effect/etc but at least someone 15-16 or so prolly could've 'temporarily run away' by train or so but i guess those kinda stories don't work out well
every animanga chara in existence that ever needed therapy almost never gets it but how would you even start to explain/unpack all that with a therapist ; tho there's enough fucked up cases out there to where there could be some 'parody therapist session' one shot manga compilations or so lol (tho there is that Shrink/Yowai therapy manga at least but i imagine a lot of countries still look down on mental health issues)
