Holy shit I was not at all expecting a happy ending. But I do wonder how their lives play out after this. They all went through insanely heavy shit and I assume things still aren’t great for them (Mary’s absent mom, Riko parenting her siblings, everything with Colin and now she’s probably having to go through the foster care system…) Some sort of sequel would be really interesting, seeing how they’re lives and dynamics have changed and the weight they’re carrying on their backs cause I doubt they’d just be buddies after all that. Trauma bonding I guess? Though that doesn’t exactly create the healthiest relationship.

In short I want to see more of these three, maybe in high school? Gaping wounds don’t heal in a day.

Probably closer than what I was expecting, which was for Mary to find Colin dead in her room and then her dad imprisons her as Colin’s replacement. I’m glad it didn’t go down that route.
Rereading the manga, an early page has a chained up Colin looking at two garbage bags across the room. This last little bit made me afraid her two friends were going to be killed when they visited while he was there and her situation ultimately being unchanged or something.

.... Okay. The only thing i feel about everything is 'ok'. I guess the author got a plus by not making it a tragic 'father got his loli harem' ending (But is it truly tragic? Does the end justify the means? Why am i not allowed to detonate the sun, just because it's hot in my room?)

For the scanlation work many thanks as it was an amazing edit you pulled out there, about the series... the last chapters were so downhill it crashed when the editor took care of the story to the point of making the worse decisions possible storytelling wise.

Originally picked this up because of morbid curiosity, and the yuri tag… And then kept reading hoping (and doubting) that Colin gets help. Regardless of how good or meh the ending is, I’m just glad they didn’t go with the cliche ‘she dies in the snow’ ending 😅
