Seriously, the anime crammed 3 volumes into one season, which is way too much considering a lot of smaller events happened in them.

They also removed a lot of subplots that will be relevant in later volumes too(almost everything about Opus, most of Cayna's improvements on the village (and the scholars who were attracted to the village), Cayna's niece, etc.), so I have a feeling they made the anime assuming season 2 won't be happening.

Yes, that was just "looks like I need to actual put a little effort in this". She is in fact holding back here because the enemy doesn't warrent her full power yet, and she needs to minimize collateral damages (the piers are still destroyed, but those are repairable).

Her children claiming she can easily destroy a city wasn't an exaggeration, she can,
and actually did (in-game of course).

And if all else failed, she has a self destruct skill that scales off the player's level.

The animated adaptation was just bad. It's like the studio completely missed the point of the series.

the only noteworthy thing happen is she learn that the game did indeed shut down sometime after her death. that and the two shock at the fact that she die irl

In the novel, there haven't been any part on it that have shown Cayna full magic power being unleashed considering that she's the strongest mage when it was a game (it's also the reason why she's called silver ring witch, silver ring because she keep using that equipment, and witch because she's that strong, she's like top 3 or 5 at being infamous when it was a game), the only time she used her silver ring are on this part and she's not even serious

but they did show how capable she is fully unleashed without even using magic power, and she did it because she got extremely pissed off
