Man, I almost quit halfway through the first chapter cuz I thought it was, ‘one of those.’ Really glad I didn’t; tore that cliche to pieces, so to speak.

So what exactly caused Yuuki to die? I saw the chains shackle to him but the imagery after that seems a little unclear. Was the creature attacking him? Was he being pulled apart or what?

From the looks of it the monster with a saw for an arm sliced him up. It's kind of hard to tell though. Gota say, this is a pretty creative way to start off a series

I'm slightly glad it went like that.
Just because you can fight really well in a game, doesn't equate to real life at all! It would be a bit annoying for an MC to be powerful without some legitimate expertise.

It was carrying a huge saw, so his arm was being hacked off
