DO YOU WANT TO SEE A DYING 12 YO IN LINGERIE !?
This is more so a test of my endurance how long can I read trash before dropping it normally there's this stuff has at least redeeming quality but oof there's literally nothing to hang onto here
It's not even that for me. It's the fact that the author pulled something this stupid out of nowhere. Like, I get it, you don't want to throw away a character like that. There are WAYS to give a more realistic approach to handle the situation. To begin with, they said not everyone who got bitten actually become infected. The author could have easily made the team waited for one day or two days and showed that she would not be infected like the rest. She'd probably participate in blood draw and physical examination to help study the virus, but she can stick back with the rest of the group probably within a week or two. That would be a more reasonable and realistic approach. In the meantime, they can worry about the team having to scavenge and forage for rations.
Then, they can integrate her back and move on to another problem in the story. But no, they need to pull this bullcrap. They just have to.
