Honestly, I disagree on this. I could understand if it was made clear what it is from the start, but it never is and always just feels like a massive bait-and-switch at the end. It feels like they're just trying to get you to read the LN out of some sunk cost bullshit rather than genuine interest, which always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Also there's a good chance it was axed because of poor sales, not necessarily because of it being an advertisement. We don't know for sure. Publishers don't want to fund manga that doesn't sell and I can't blame them for it.

With that being said, Japan is also easy to make fun of for their seemingly "poor taste" considering they'll eat up Rent a Girlfriend slop like its candy

You're right, I have since amended my comment. I tried my best to explain it from what I remember. There's a good chance some of it gets changed. Perhaps I am overhyping it but I think it is pretty well fleshed out and a unique twist
Thanks a lot bro, i appreciate it. Tbh this series never really hooked me, but that chapter where he hallucinates (or travels back, I don't remember exactly) to the present was really interesting. That arc sounds like it's more of that chapter. I might actually give it a shot and read it

I'm biased but Secre Translations is goated. Secre does work for the Fan Translations of Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, and if you're familiar with that, it'll give them some good rep.

They're also taking on the incredibly challenging task of doing a faithful translation of Beyond the Boundary, who's light novel is notorious for complex and challenging writing and odd creative decisions
Like I said, I've tried LNs a few times in the past - both official translations and unofficial ones of both bad and excellent TL quality. The format just isn't for me, and I'd rather not spend my limited free time trying to enjoy it.

Also there's a good chance it was axed because of poor sales, not necessarily because of it being an advertisement. We don't know for sure. Publishers don't want to fund manga that doesn't sell and I can't blame them for it.
Yeah that type of axe I can fully understand, even if it sucks when it happens to a good series. The oversaturation of slop manga really doesn't help there either, with how much harder it makes it for a good series to stand out.

With that being said, Japan is also easy to make fun of for their seemingly "poor taste" considering they'll eat up Rent a Girlfriend slop like its candy
That's exactly the series I was thinking of when I made my first comment :lul:

Every time a good manga gets axed, my first thought is about how that horseshit's somehow still getting published lol...

We REALLY need a way to tag these types of incomplete novel adaptation stories. Either cause they are ads, or cause they skipped parts of the original story in the manga version like this one does.

But doing so would be hard to do, cause some of these manga hide that they are not the full novel story until the very end when it slaps you with a surprise "BUY THE NOVEL TO CONTINUE" ending.

I don't know what it would be called; "Partial Adaptation" ?
Maybe something like "Promotional manga"? Huhu just when I'm finding the series interesting

The worse part is that the LN is finished, so I assume poor sales :(.

The only thing we can hope for now is an Anime adaptation.
