I wish this series updated more often, I'm really invested in this one.
Seeing an adult protagonist doing a retake of their lives that actually behaves like an adult, but still falls on some of the same traps they used to because they're just more mature now, and not a different person, is a really nice take.

Silver Plan to Redo from JK has a similar concept, but Saionji tends to act like a teenager for a large portion of the series that I end up forgetting she's supposed to be over 50 internally. The other one with a similar concept with an overly long title has the protagonist saying High School will be smooth because he's an adult dealing with children only to let himself be intimidated by two older kids immediately after.

I think Seishun Revenge takes the best balance of the adult version of the protagonist and the still unknown territory that is dating for him. The only problem I have with this story is that there isn't more yet. :D

Do actual human beings really think "No, I'm not in love, I just want to support them like an idol!" - What a weird minset. I've seen it a few times now in manga, and it's such a baffling and unbelievable thought.
Weirdly enough, in the novel, he knows he is in love with her from the get go, and his goal is to make her his girlfriend. I'm yet to figure what the point of changing that for the manga was.

Sorry world, I have failed you. I'll start exercising more now. Not that I don't exercise, but I usually just walk...

Cause drama. I've noticed a few series have changed the LN/WN events weirdly. Like that on with the abusive girlfriend whom became an ex has had her changed by making her waay less evil then she was.

Personally, I like that he didn't decide to make her his girlfriend immediately after the time leap - one wrong step and that could easily have gone into creepy predator territory. Having him make that decision after spending a while as a teenager is, I think, better.

But that doesn't mean I like the "support her as an idol" stuff - at least it looks like the sister will kick him in the right direction.

Did you seriously just call doing basic housework being a "gary stu"?? Cooking and cleaning are very basic skills that you learn to take care of yourself.
Who says it's about housework?

It's the fact that his personality shifted so drastically to the point where he's instantly popular, cooks really good despite working for a black company that works him nearly to death, he doesn't show much mental damage from his years of abuse and his mom dying because of him.

You just don't delete that kind of damage just because you started over. That stupid idol talk is really stupid as well for a man that's well into his adult phase.

Everything the manga is so far is him pointing out what he did wrong in the past then he fucking A+ that shit.

Yeah I'd say he fits the gary stu, also suddenly he's liked/admired by alot of people for no reason (Saying he has a more mature aura is a cop out and multiple series have done it) he also has done no wrong.

I always find series like there weird cause if I went back to school age I'd have some issues cause how things are done changes over time plus noone retains 100% perfect memory of what they learnt at school so whenever I see these and it's like "Look at me getting 90-100% every test now" feels too unrealistic. The only thing I'll praise here is he mentions how he takes studying seriously now.

Aww man. That casual conversation with his sister is so adorable. These are things that rarely happen to some despite being siblings. Especially once we start getting embarrassed to share.

I'm kinda craving for this story more then most others.... I love how much his experience in a Black Company made him have a completly different perspective of life in a second try. I think it looks more interesting then ReLife one.

I really like this MC, the only problem is this "memory loss" I find it very annoying when changes like this are made to the original, if it was something to add to the plot, I would be fine, but this is just to milk and cause unnecessary drama. But for the most part it's a really great manga, compared to the others witht he same premise.
