This series shows up sporadically but it's always enjoyable. I'm sure at one point the author just had this observation that collecting makeup isn't that different from collecting cards, and decided to soapbox about it. And this is that soapbox.

Honestly I have to give the win to makeup though--at least it's designed to be used. Nearly all the "value" in the TCG world is based on speculation bubbles. And due to the gacha nature, additional money is extracted from customers via gambling mechanics, whereas you know what you're buying with makeup.
