Its cute but it triggers my autism with them referring to movies, pop music, manga, comedy, anime and LN as subculture. Thats just plain culture in Japan.
Just like how in the west even anime is rarely seen as subculture other than by some boomers, a lot of shonen anime have become just general culture at this point.
