I mean it's not that they forbade that, it's that they took away her phone and didn't let her leave the house during the entire remainder of the summer break.

And I’m on the team Isaki’s parents are being too overprotective. They aren’t protecting, they are being controlling. And no child deals well with being controlled. That just makes them go as far away as they can when they finally get their independence.
The fact they were alone for most of their trip wasn’t even THEIR fault. It was their oldest daughter’s. But they still pay no attention to THAT one.
