*put on nerd glasses* Well technically, Edge doesn't share much in common with IE, it was built from the ground up. And, even if that were true, then the same could be said for Netscape and Firefox. Firefox is based on Mozilla which is originally the open source version of Netscape. So netscape isn't really dead, it just evolved.

as an IT, we still use IE for compatibility sake. this is why even the modern windows 10 still have IE (despite having edge).

we dont use chrome due to that browser doesnt respect the GP (Group Policy) we have in the network, dont mention firefox since it crash all the time.

Given that Firefox incorporated bits of Netscape Navigator, it would be fun to see Netscape come back as a ghost that hangs around Firefox.

I remember NN slowly becoming a bloated mess relative to IE then Mozilla stripped out all of the bloat and made Firefox. Then FF became bloated and I moved to chrome. Now I'm looking at FF again though there are a few more alternatives to consider.
