The tropes started at something like chapter three though.
While I think author should have stuck to his guts instead of ripping off random shonen mangas, this read can also be fun. Who am I kidding - cute characters is all that is needed.

I mean, even if the author borrows a lot of tropes and do a lot of generic predictable stuff, if they can make it a fun read i don't see the issue. A lot of manga uses a lot of common tropes anyway.

Its still up to the author if they can balance all that but so far it is a very fun read despite the release schedule.
