she acknowledge that 001 leadership are the best, and she probably has quite high regard for him too, which make her feel so betrayed when 001 "abandon" them.
I think she also said "we all ended up trusting him" (including herself), she also trusts him if as ally and has high regard for him as you said,

yet she weirdly didn't like how most of them changed and softened after 001,

she's one baddie woman, sigh.

I think 003 was loyal to 001 which is why she let him escape. She killed the other numbers because she probably think they would have went back to mad dog and gave him the direction in where he fled. She also could have wanted him gone to have 002 be the leader. Or both. I'm just hoping that none of the numbers die as I feel like 004 is on borrowed time. Thanks for the chapter!!!

I think 003 has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. She's just a sociopath and doesn't really care about others. Except maaaaaaaaybe 002, but she could also just be yandere about him.

I know people tend to ... forgive hot ladies. But this one is a really rotten apple, let's be honest...

If another "backstory" about 003 letting 001/Ijin escape comes out, it will be interesting, because the theories here are somewhat valid.

But as I said before, 003 is kind of "cynical." She acts out of ego just like One, but she wants leadership power, and she knows she has to build it up little by little (or she learned that now after this situation). She's calculating, and I don't doubt that she knew that being on One's side might even give her a chance to become his leader.

One is pure ego and rage. Mad Dog tried to create "the perfect killing machine." He forgot about ego.

(Those over 30 should know Knight Rider or other similar series, and that "evil twin" thing. One is 002's "evil brother," but at the same time Ijin's "evil twin," in the sense that while Ijin is totally focused only on "clearing the field" and to stay alive; One was made to "kill" and that's it.).

I mean, Alice stated it awhile ago, but the numbers only worked as well as they did because of Ijin's leadership. Heck, it's been stated (don't ask me specific chapters there's alot) that the SW security team has gotten better as a result, and people tend to flock to Ijin as well. One is skilled, no doubt, possibly more skilled than Ijin in a 1v1 (as crazy as that may sound to some), but he (and 003) absolutely lack what it means to be good leaders. Especially since they've shown, multiple times, how willing they are to kill their own members/comrades for minor transgressions. That's not how you build a cohesive unit. Weird how no one seems to understand that.

That made me realize, she probably got betrayed pretty bad in the past, that's why she was really heartbroken when 001 escape, so she desperately trying to pull 001 back to the camp scorched earth. Let's cope she isn't truly evil lol.

In a way this could be seen as a way of Ijin beating One. It's been frequently stated that the only reason that the Numbers aren't just highly efficient killing machines but actual soldiers who stand by each other is because of Ijin. One just wanted the killing machines.

Now here they are the team inspired by Ijin and the team built by One, and it's not even close.

Regarding the story between 003 and 001/Ijin during his departure from the camp, there's episode 169, where a flashback of Ijin shows their exchange before she retraces her steps and kills the Numbers members he had neutralized.

It's clear she lets him go because he's become too powerful for her to handle herself, and she grants 002 full authority.

But the question remains: what will she do when she learns that 001/Ijin is still alive? Will she try to kill him, or will she attempt to rejoin the team to survive their revenge?
