They really should start using real names instead of numbers. There's just no efficiency in using it not to mention it coincides with actual number when say, trying to point out firing angle or direction. Yelling "Oh-four", "Four", or maybe the korean pronunciation is just not it bruh. Heck if it's too much just use codenames, or numbers pronunciation but in different languages (Hana, Zwei, Tres, Shi, etc.)

I mean isn't the main story also about humanizing these bunch of living weapons? Having them using real names is a good way to start it off.

Everyone deserves a break. Most people don't get as much leisure as they really need to have a decent life and keep their head on straight. Artists for this kind of thing definitely seem to have a burnout problem. So yeah, hope their break is good.

it would not be consistent then.
number might be confusing for reader but but code name are almost default in military setting. and its been on their training, so its already in their vocabulary. changing it would break the setting.
but yeah, when they called "one" its really easy to confuse on what context is it.
