This is stupid. Really. Humanity in this manhwa just liching everything. No new reserches of new energy sorces. Not growing plants just for food. Just trowing human meat in war and get loot. And most strange thing is supervisors. Even if soldiers just meat and worth nothing, its too dangerous to have stupid officers. One wrong decidion and entire fleet is doomed.
Basically author trying to say humanity in 22th century has technology for warp space travels and don't have technology for making smart machine (same as robot vacuum cleaner) wich can grow basic food (rice or some other grain).
Its hard to say, but regular emperial soldiers from Warhammer 40k has better working conditions
