Who the heck translating the name of people? Just keep the Chinese name, charting the fact that some weird CN names in middle of European school is due to her being super-duper-special heroine of the game.
"Lil' Yang"
That's the same weirdness as translating "-san" as Mister.

Before my response to the three things let me just say that there are lots of ways to translate things, so I absolutely get it!
As for our choices, 'Stardew' (星露) is the main character of a Chinese game with a European school setting. I would very much assume the name is meant to be non-Chinese, keeping just the pinyin of the characters wouldn't be the same. Especially since Jiang Yang's name is supposed to standout from the rest of the names in the setting (see first chapter). And in my opinion Stardew kinda sounds like a protagonists name in a game so why not chose a literal translation
I kinda agree on the lil' Yang thing. It's something I copied from other scanlations, but ultimately it's something I'm no longer happy with (this is my first time scanlating). I've been thinking of switching to Xiao Yang, the 'lil' reads weird to others as well, right? Not just me and 758627? Would you all prefer 'Xiao'?
Idk if you just made a mistake typing, but that's not what the translation is. However, if you dislike the general idea of what the prince is saying I don't know what to tell you, but I remember it being pretty close to the original. Thinking about it again I might change it to say 'open-minded' instead of openness though 😊

I'd assume that the protagonist's name was up to the player's input at the start of the game, so the devs will completely ignore it when something coming up in the story. (You know, just to avoid something like "wow, your name is so special and unique" when the player put in something like "Mary"). And honestly, have you ever met someone legally named "Stardew"?
Using "Xiao" instead: my reason is you're already reading/interested in a Chinese title, you're probably somewhat familiar with how Chinese calling each others. If you really really didn't know what "Xiao" mean, you could always asking people or just looking it up yourself really.
"openness": yeah, that's getting thing across but kinda awkward, open-minded is better. Though, I was rolling eyes mostly because of the "funny" interaction. Usually it's the other way around: Easterners getting annoyed at Westerners' forwardness/shamelessness and the eastern people are usually more rigid/close-minded instead.

yeah stardew and lil yang(sounds like a rapper) were not to my liking personally whatever names other people were giving them i prefer that
