That note is about the term Eruko (エル子), which is used in the original Japanese as a general term for a female elf character, in this case, Kazuya calls Chiba 'Eruko.'

I actually changed it to just 'elf' because there isn't really a direct English equivalent, but I forgot to remove that note.

Now that you mention it, I suppose it could be translated as 'Elfie' or something similar, so I'll probably gonna change it to that.

also a bit of where that Japanese slang come from, it's is a common slang term, famously used in games like Dragon Quest X, combining "Elf" (Eru) and a girl/child suffix (-ko).

For all we know it could straight up be an evil God that's just fucking with the world. That's been pretty trendy recently. An evil God who just does stuff to stir up trouble for his own amusement.

Partly from the dude talking about "Embracing" like it's an actual special ability and not just a euphemism for sex. So it quite possibly is a special ability.

And partly from his girls seeming otherwise well-adjusted but seeing nothing at all wrong with how he treats girls he just met (other than the mage being jealous). Which is also a crazy red flag.

They clearly expect Chiba and Shiina to fall in line once they've been Embraced.

And so, I'm making the leap to assuming that Embracing is some sort of brainwashing effect. I wonder if Kazuya's "harem" actually understands what he did to them but it's a strong enough effect that they aren't able to care.
