Considering his reaction to the map, it might be a lot more than 3 years. Unless it's in the other direction? It would be a kinda interesting twist if more then three years have passed and time was just slower in the floating city.
I don't think there's a consideration of that honestly, it seems like the highest order of business was hitting as much andrussy as possible and after that ensuring he can continue to do so now he's back. They destroyed all investment in the original setting since he spent so long in the sky city. It's a really weird setup honestly but again it seems like drowning in andrussy was the goal.Seriously, the three timeskip was just unecessary. He could have spent three months there banging the dolls and it would have the same results without all the grief his family has to have felt without him.
doesn't have to be. the data from the map artifact could simply be outdated, because the lost civlisation went under like hundreds of years ago, so it uses old data. His hometown became a "town of sin"? This gives me a bad feeling. I just hope his sister is fine, if she's not then i will drop this.
Or the current civilization doesn't have (publicly available) accurate maps.doesn't have to be. the data from the map artifact could simply outdated, because the lost civlisation went under like hundreds of years ago, so it uses old data.
