before the acceleration by the chibi goddess they are traveling at 50 km/h. then they accelerate to 10x. so now 500 km/h. then the goddess challenges them to 20 times the speed, which ends up at 1000 km/h (which is actually slightly faster than the average commercial plane).
so my assumption is: translator made a typo.
