Yay the duo is back! I really like Liz and Miyabi.

Thanks for the picking this up. But it seems like there's something missing in the scene where MC talked to the receptionist about donation. I read the raw a while ago. Iirc, the receptionist said something along the line "I know an adventurer who always donate half of their rewards". Hence MC's reaction when she revealed that it was Liz.

Honestly? I'm happy that for once the MC wasn't allowed to do the milquetoast idiotic 'I didn't do anything special uwu' bullshit when his skills in what he does are literally beyond what anyone else on the PLANET is capable of. She just shut him up and told them flat out, none of this hiding for no good reason horsehockey.
Ya know hiding it is not a bad idea. I get where you're coming from but if you're too open with how powerful you are it's gonna attract attention and most of it will be negative or people trying to use you for their own ends. Now this MC has not been hiding his skills like at all but just has a distinct lack of this world's common sense he truly believes what he's doing isn't amazing.

Its been five months. I'm sure they can work something out with the new translator if they want it back, but it feels like it should be fair game.
They ignored it for 5 months when we have a volume 3 cover I say fuck um. ALL HAIL THE NEW TRANSLATORS!

There's nothing missing; I misattributed two speech bubbles by accident, thinking it was Miyabi talking about himself. The Japanese sentence structure just used subject-verb without much in the way of relevant pronouns, and no characters were in frame, so I couldn't tell who was speaking and made a fucky-wucky. So the bit that's like "it's not like i'll bankrupt myself" was actually Eleanor beginning to concede the point. In my defense, that bubble handed me my ass and I asked a handful of translators for other projects to eyeball it and they had no clue either

Yeah, that bubble on pg 16 is Eleanor.

This is what I get from Google translate:

そうだとは言いませんが破産しそうで心配です
I'm not saying this will happen, but I'm worried you might go bankrupt.

報酬の半額を寄付した方はいましたが全額は初めてです
There were people who donated half of the reward, but it's the first time (someone wants) to donate the full amount.

"Hajimete" is first time, not this one time. And also, this connects with page 21 because it gives MC revelation that she was talking about Liz.

And caught up.

Guildmaster is a reasonable guy. Ask them if they did it on their own, and take their answer as the truth.

Yeah, gig economy is a way to exploit the weakest people working.

Why is she mad that he got a promotion? He's ranked too low anyway, and they both know it.

Ooh, Chaiknees cuisine, rather than Japonese. That's quite rare. The food talk is as cookie cutter as usual, though.

Caught a rat. I mean cat.

The way they're standing next to each other on the bottom of page 29, the conclusion was obvious. I like that kind of visual storytelling.

So, an architecture job is coming up? So finally what he signed up for. I read the spoilers, and it's still appropriate. Start "small" and all that.

More correctly, [出る釘は打たれる], romanized as, "deru kugi wa utareru", carries the connotation that if you stand out too much people will hate you and you will suffer the consequences of that hatred.
I like that interpretation better than the usual less adequately translated one. It reminds me of two Swedish concepts. "Jantelagen" and the saying, "Den som ger sig in i leken får leken tåla."

The first is basically "know your place; you're nothing special," which has a mostly negative connotation in modern Sweden, replaced with a more moderate modesty, where some kind of arrogance is accepted if you can back it up (Zlatan Ibrahimović is a good example of that).

The second means, "If you join the game you have to take the consequences of the game." Your choice is always your choice, but remember that you're the one putting yourself out there. If you bring attention to yourself, you can't control whether that attention is good or bad. Implied in the saying is also that it's within reason of "the game". E.g., if you dress in a noticeable way, you should expect people to stare at you, but not punch you in the face.

I mean, it only recently occurred to him that, crafters in this world don't have massive inventories because they can't go out and gather materials every single day due to the dangers of lurking monsters.
By now it shouldn't be that recent anymore, but it does take some time to internalise it properly. And at least he's doing it at all. And it doesn't just apply to the storage, but all skills. Leveling up is much harder if you die when you're killed.

In my defense, that bubble handed me my ass and I asked a handful of translators for other projects to eyeball it and they had no clue either
Translation is hard. We appreciate the effort, even if it's not always accurate.

Ahh, here it comes. The bathroom makeover arc.

You heard that right, an entire arc for a bathroom makeover.
That's the kinda shit that i came here for. MC goes in, creates the greatest bathroom in the world, a bathroom that will raise the technology level of the very planet he is on. His craftsmanship becomes so well known that EVERY nation strives to kidnap him. It will be like "greatest estate developer" only he won't be rejected for being ugly.

Reading this again, I would say this pair of MCs is really my favorite.
They don't mind being physically close and don't get excessively flustered.
They are the best comedy duo lol.

Also Mel stealing their food lol
